Sri Krishna Sweets wanted to create something truly special for Deepavali — not just another festive pack, but a piece of nostalgia you’d want to keep.
While most brands went with glossy sweet photos or random festive motifs, we wanted to design something that felt real — something that carried people, rituals, and emotion.
In Tamil homes, a Petti (box) has always been more than storage — it’s where families keep their handmade palagaram(festive treats) and memories.
That became our idea: to turn this everyday symbol into a keepsake of Tamil heritage.
We mapped moments from a Tamil Deepavali morning — murukku frying in ghee, kolam drawn at the doorstep, elders blessing the young.
Then we built a panoramic illustration inspired by Chettinad homes — capturing the celebration from entrance to backyard, like a 70mm story wrapped around a tin.
The Pandigai Petti went beyond packaging.
It became a piece of storytelling people wanted to keep — a collector’s box that sold 22× more than projected and filled homes with nostalgia.
Because for us, design isn’t just about what you see — it’s about what you feel.
