In Tamil, Virundhu (விருந்து) is not just a meal. It is an occasion. A promise that every guest will be fed well, welcomed fully, and sent home happy.
When Nithya Amirtham launched their catering vertical, they needed a brand that felt like the celebration itself — not a corporate catering company, but something that belonged to the world of Tamil festivity.
The Approach
We went to where Tamil celebrations already live. The silk saree border. The wedding invitation. The motifs that frame every function before a single dish is served.
Four motifs, chosen deliberately. The Iruthalaipakshi — victory and abundance. The Kamalam — purity and new beginnings. The Maanga — a quiet promise of generosity. The Kodi Visiri — a celebration that keeps giving.
Each one already lived in the memory of anyone who has attended a Tamil wedding. Placing them on a catering brand was simply saying: this feast belongs to that same world.
The Work
One visual language across every surface — chef’s caps, menu cards, sweet box packaging, wristbands, banners, brochures. Warm, direct copy written to match. Tamil in spirit, even in English.
